Regenerative viticulture

Muixach brothers

Viticultors Muixach is a family project created by Eduard and Adrià. We share the way of understanding the vine and of making wine based on regenerative agriculture.

We trust what we feel, we put effort into everything we do, we look for a good product true to our values and we respect the times and the training so that the result is always the best.

We add diverse knowledge that we transfer to our day-to-day life in order to achieve the goal of producing a high-quality product, with minimal intervention in the winery and with maximum respect for the land, the product and our environment.

Wine of the territories

Viticultors Muixach is a wine project that consists of 6 hectares of vines spread over 5 unique vineyards, each of them with characteristics of soil, environment, microclimate, etc., which means that part of the territory can be bottled in each bottle of wine we make.

At Viticultors Muixach we are committed to product quality, regenerative viticulture and in an environment promoting the regenerative economy.

Vineyard management

A few years ago, we opted for regenerative viticulture as the main axis of the management of our vineyards.

Improving the soil, increasing its fertility, increasing the biodiversity of the soil and our environment are the objectives proposed in our agricultural management.

Thanks to this management, the vine is more resilient to pests and diseases, as well as climate change.

We increase the water retention capacity of the soil.

We improve the organoleptic characteristics of the product.

We do not use any kind of synthetic product.

Our way to make wine

At Viticultors Muixach we know and want the wine to be made in the vineyard, which is why our obsession is to cultivate the vineyard with the utmost respect for the plant and the product.

The wines made emphasize the individual location of each vineyard, making its own wine for each vineyard. Bottling a part of the territory and landscape in order to be enjoyed anywhere in the world.

The grapes are harvested manually in order to minimize damage to the plant and to be able to select the grapes that will become wine.

Spontaneous fermentation is carried out with the indigenous yeasts of each vineyard.

The product is made with minimal intervention in the winery.

The project of future winery

The oenological project of Viticultors Muixach has its starting point in a cellar built from materials with a minimal carbon footprint and bioconstruction materials specific to the area, with the challenge of achieving the best oenological conditions from biological materials: wood, straw and mud obtained from the same site where the winery will be built. We are working to shape this small and at the same time big project.

We are marked by the responsibility of a job well done, respect for the environment and meeting the proposed challenges, in this way being able to transmit these values through all the parties involved that are inside a bottle of wine.

Local and sustainable will

We firmly believe in the importance of being able to produce locally and in a sustainable way, favoring the environment and the nearby and regenerative economy. Our products come from the local economy, contributing our grain of sand to the economic and social network of our environment.

Unique vineyards

Ecological vines managed by regenerative viticulture techniques.

Bottles with minimal carbon footprint

We use bottles with 35% less glass. In this way, apart from using less material, we transport less weight and the carbon footprint is reduced

Recycled and local paper labels

We use labels with recycled paper, sourced from local businesses, in order to boost the local economy.

Cork 100% proximity

We use corks 100% from Catalan forests, thus we collaborate in the valorization of an ancestral craft in our history.

Proximity design

All our design comes from the gray matter of a young company from Girona: aeiou design.

Biodegradable capsules

We use biodegradable material for the cap seal, instead of single-use capsules that would take thousands of years to forget.
